Dawn Butler MP, Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, has today joined in marking the International Week of the Deaf (IWD).

The IWD is an initiative of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) and it was first launched in 1958 and is now celebrated annually by the deaf community.

Dawn  was surprised to receive an invitation by London Local Energy to discuss fracking – not in a remote area, but in Harlesden, at the heart of Brent Central. The invitation came with a glossy seven page press release which failed to even mention the word fracking once, just skirting around it.
