Dawn Butler MP spoke at a multi-faith Iftar at Central Mosque of Brent

It was an honour to be invited to speak and take part in a multi-faith iftar at the Central Mosque of Brent in Willesden Green.

This multi-faith iftar was arranged by the Faiths Forum for London and the Together Coalition. The Faith Forum does vital work in promoting understanding and dialogue across faith communities, and the Together Coalition aims to build kinder, closer and more connected communities.

The multi-faith iftar brought together representatives from across the diverse faith community we have here in Brent. When faith groups convene like this; be they Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh or Christian, anything else - it sounds out a powerful message that love is stronger than hate and in diversity there is strength.
