It was an honour to sit on the Delegated Legislation Committee for the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme Regulations 2025. I was pleased that we agreed important amendments to the legislation, ensuring that victims infected with HIV and sickle cell will be able to access compensation, regardless of when their infection occurred.
This is a vital step towards justice for those who have suffered for far too long, and I will continue to support efforts to ensure the scheme is fair, inclusive and delivered with compassion.
