This week, I had the privilege of hosting Louis Theroux in Parliament for a private screening of his powerful documentary The Settlers, followed by an insightful Q&A with fellow MPs.
The film offers a stark, unflinching look at the illegal settlements in the West Bank, and it couldn’t be more timely. The screening sparked vital conversations—not just about the settlements themselves, but about the broader conflict in both Gaza and the West Bank.
Louis shared his experiences from the ground, and what struck me—and many others in the room—was the level of human suffering and the extent to which international law and basic democratic norms are being disregarded.
This event wasn’t just about a documentary; it was a call to action. We have a responsibility to speak out, to question, and to hold those in power accountable. We cannot allow these breaches of humanity to go unchallenged.
I’m incredibly grateful to Louis and his team for taking the time to engage with Parliament in such a meaningful way. Conversations like these are essential if we’re serious about justice, peace, and progress.
