Dawn Butler MP attends the opening of the North-West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre

This week we formally opened the North-West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre at Central Middlesex Hospital.

Central Middlesex Hospital will act as a purpose designed centre of excellence for routine inpatient orthopaedic surgery for the entirety of the NW London area. This will be for high volume albeit low complexity bone and joint procedures, such as knee and hip replacements.

There will initially be three operating theatres expanding to five.

I know that this will have a massive impact in terms of quality of life for those receiving surgery here.

This change came about due to many years of determined efforts of Labour in Brent to find a new role for Central Middlesex Hospital as a fully functioning community site.
