It was a pleasure to recently visit the newly refurbished Brent Ambulance Station on Neasden Lane.
The facilities at the ambulance station have very recently been upgraded and it was wonderful to see these improvements, and to hear about other positive changes including bringing London Ambulance Staff in-house and paying everyone at the very least the London Living Wage.
I met with paramedics and have the opportunity to thank all those that serve the Brent community for their incredibly hard work. This was also an important opportunity to hear from the frontline on the challenges facing the service and concerns included delays in dropping off patients at A&E and how the service manages the switchover to taking on mental health callouts from the Met Police.
