Every Labour Conference, I host my annual Jamaica Party, and each year it gets bigger and better. This year, our first under a Labour Government, was no different! We even had a special DJ set from the one and only Levi Roots.
If you’re in Liverpool next year, don’t forget to join us for some fun, rum punch, and more!
I also had the pleasure of hosting the London Reception alongside the Mayor of London and Prime Minister, Keir Starmer.
Additionally, I participated in several panels on issues I’m deeply passionate about. One was the Big Brother Watch panel, which focused on workers' rights, employer surveillance, and AI. Another was the Media Reform Coalition and Hacked Off panel, which explored how Labour can support a more independent and accountable press. This is especially close to my heart, as I’ve been campaigning with the group Level Up to push for stronger legislation to protect victims and families of domestic violence, particularly around how the media reports on them.
