Dawn to host community meeting over anti-social behaviour at Dollis Hill

Dawn has called an urgent community meeting in response to local concerns regarding anti-social behaviour at and around Dollis Hill and Willesden Green underground stations.

Residents have expressed their numerous concerns as to a number of assaults that took place at the beginning of the year, as well as gang and drug-related activity in the area.  Earlier this month Dawn took residents concerns directly to the Director of Policing at TfL to request they make themselves available at a community meeting to address issues.  The meeting is due to be held at 7pm on the 9th May 2019 at the Learie Constantine Centre, 43-47 Dudden Hill Lane, NW10 2ET.  In attendance at the meeting will be:

  • Superintendant Ricky Twyford, British Tranasport Police
  •
  • Tarak Buch, Jubilee Line Manager
  •
  • Cllr Tom Miller, Lead Member for Community Safety at Brent Council
  •

 Dawn said of the meeting:

“Everyone has the right to travel in London without fear of abuse or intimidation.”     “That is why I have been working with our partners in the Police since 2015 to create a safer and greater Brent however despite the commendable efforts of all involved it is with regret that in the past months we have seen an increase in criminality at and around Dollis Hill and Willesden Green stations. This meeting is an opportunity to put your concerns directly to those responsible. If you have an issue you’d like to raise, please come along on the 9th May and have your say!”     “In the meantime I want to assure everyone that I am, and will continue, to push the Metropolitan Police and TfL to do everything that is in their power to ensure safety is a primary concern in Brent.”     If you witness criminal or anti-social behaviour on the underground network you can report it via text to British Transport Police by sending a message to 61016. You can also report crime via the non-emergency number 101. In an emergency always call 999.
