Earlier this week, I attended and spoke at a community meeting in Willesden, convened by the Metropolitan Police and Brent Council following the tragic murder of Jamal Ringrose. The meeting focused on community safety and provided an opportunity for residents to come together in the aftermath of this devastating incident.
Over 160 residents and local business owners attended, with the chance to hear directly from the agencies involved and to ask questions and raise concerns.
I addressed the meeting alongside contributions from Willesden Councillors Saqlain Choudry and George Crane, and the session was expertly chaired by Dollis Hill Councillor Liz Dixon, Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Public Health.
