Dawn Butler MP is today urging Brent charities and community groups in need of extra financial help and support to urgently apply to the 2019 SEGRO Community Fund.
SEGRO owns and operates most of the real estate at the Park Royal Business Park and is offering grants of up to £10,000 for projects on theme of ‘employability’ and ‘youth social action’. Applicants to the fund must demonstrate clear links to increasing the employability skills and prospects for young people taking part in the project. Applications can be made online via The London Community Foundation at https://londoncf.org.uk/grants/segro-community-fund. Dawn Butler MP met with SEGRO on Friday 7th June 2019 to explore ways to support the business community in Brent and to learn more about their work in the wider community. Dawn Butler MP said:
“It was a pleasure to meet with SEGRO last week and to find out all about their fantastic Community Fund. I know from my meetings with local charities and community groups that funding is often hard to come by so any extra help and support is very welcome. That is why I am encouraging people to hurry up and get their applications in as time is running out!”

Today during Sikh Awareness Month I joined my friend Tan Dhesi MP to mark Turban Awareness Day. It is important to appreciate, celebrate and acknowledge all religions and cultures in our diverse communities up and down the country.
