I, like so many Brent residents, have long been concerned about the ever increasing presence of betting shops and other gambling establishments such as amusement arcades on our High Street.
That is why I actively encouraged Brent Council to make a submission to the Review and also wrote to 7,000 households in the vicinity of Harlesden High Street asking residents to share with me their experiences of how the clustering of gambling establishments has impacted them. The response from residents was so compelling and moving that I took the decision to not only present my response to the Review but to turn it into a specialised Brent 14 page submission.
