This month I visited the Little Village baby bank in Wembley.
Little Village do phenomenal work in supporting local families struggling with the cost of living and it was fantastic to see their grassroots operation in-person and to meet the many volunteers supporting them in their work.
It was also very helpful to hear of their experiences of supporting refugee families arriving in Brent from war torn countries. I have agreed to continue working with them to push Ministers for answers; in particular around the use of interim accommodations (aka asylum hotels) and their contractors who do not appear to be adequately providing for families.
