I raised a point of order on former MPs links to the transatlantic slave trade

Following the news that former MP Antoinette Sandbach asked for her name to be forgotten due to links to her ancestors links to the transatlantic slave trade, I raised a point of order in Parliament to raise this important issue.

It should never be made easy to erase the brutality of the transatlantic slave trade, the family links and wealth amassed as a result of these horrors.

These are difficult but necessary conversations that need to be held and heard.

All organisations and MPs with links to the slave trade must be traced and investigated without fear of retribution and legal action. Conversations need to be had about the debt is owed.
