It was my pleasure to recently host Ashford Place for a reception in the House of Commons in December 2023.
Ashford Place is a fantastic local charity and resource centre based in Cricklewood that provides support for people with complex issues including homelessness, alcohol and substance abuse and mental health.
This reception was to specifically mark the launch of their latest project ‘Shout London’ which is a free to attend annual Film & Arts Festival held each October, which is a conversation and creative celebration about mental health. It was fantastic to hear from people who took part in the project and to learn about how much of a difference it made to them.
I have worked with Ashford Place for many years to support constituents in Brent and look forward to continuing our collaboration for the benefit of all residents.
