I delivered a GMB Race Achievement Scholarship Programme Lecture

In December I delivered a talk for the GMB Race Achievement Scholarship Programme (GRASP).

This is a national training programme to equip GMB members from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds with the skills, tools and confidence to campaign and organise around race in their region and challenge race discrimination where they see it.

This training programme came about further to the Elizabeth Henry Report. It is about developing effective workplace leaders by enhancing and further developing their leadership skills, increasing understanding of how to tackle racism in the workplace and lead campaigns, giving the skills to organise and campaign across differing industrial sections and building a comprehensive understanding of union structures and principles.
