Dawn Nominates The Queensbury in Willesden Green for Parliamentary Pub of The Year

Dawn has nominated The Queensbury in Willesden Green for the prestigious Title of Parliamentary Pub of The Year.

The National awards which culminate in a National final at the House of Commons offers all MP’s the opportunity to nominate their constituency’s favourite boozer.  This award focuses on celebrating pubs in our community and Dawn Butler MP will be nominating The Queensbury as the entrant from the Brent Central constituency.  The Parliamentary Pub of the year competition will give 650 MPs the opportunity to nominate a pub to be recognised as the Parliamentary pub of the Year.  The main criteria for nomination is a pub that is great at what they do, this can include the range of beer or food provided, the dedication to serving the local Community or a specialism in Music or Sports.

Dawn Butler MP said:  “The Queensbury is an outstanding local pub and a great asset to the Willesden Green community and it is my pleasure today to nominate them for Parliamentary Pub of the Year.  The Queensbury do a great job in providing facilities to the local community and I know local parents especially love the Busy Rascals baby and toddler group.  I very much hope that the Queensbury is recognised in support of this work and for their tireless campaign to Save the Queensbury!”

Nominated Pubs will submit a video to the judges, last year's winner the Four Elms from Cardiff submitted a great video linked here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCSmc9jrmEE  If you would like to look at the nominations as they come in please follow The Parliamentary Pub of The Year awards on twitter @ParliPubOTY
