Dawn Butler, Labour Member of Parliament for Brent Central, is calling for urgent action to tackle escalating levels of anti-social and criminal behaviour in Harlesden.
Ms Butler has called an urgent meeting open to all members of the public at 7pm this Friday, 15th June 2018, at Christ Church on Saint Albans Road in Harlesden.
The meeting will bring together the Metropolitan Police, Brent Council and local residents to explore ways in which to tackle the present crisis. The Metropolitan Police will be represented by Chief Inspector Rob Webb and Sergeant Gary Thackham. Brent Council will be represented by Davina Smith, Community Safety Manager, and Simon Egbor, Anti-Social Behaviour & Crime Manager.
Dawn said ahead of the meeting:
“This meeting is the second that I have held to look at how we can address anti-social behaviour and other forms of crime in and around Harlesden.
This meeting will provide a crucial opportunity for local residents to give feedback and information directly to both the Metropolitan Police and Brent Council who are both working to tackle this growing problem. If you or your family have been impacted by anti-social behaviour in our community please come along to the meeting to share your experiences with those responsible for policing our streets.”
