Dawn holds adjournment debate on the cost of prepayment meters

Dawn Butler Labour MP for Brent Central holds an adjournment debate in the House of Commons on 1st December 2015.

The debate was called to discuss the "Cost of Prepayment Meters".

Dawn called on the Energy Companies and the Minister for Energy and Climate Change to help support those often forced onto the most expensive tariff.

Well done on highlighting the great cost of pre-payment meters.

Now I have another big worry. The government’s proposal to end life tenancies. Whaere do they expect people to go to after 5 years? And if this is inflicted on a family, how disrupting it will be for children, the elderly – almost everyone. We need to build more houses. Not penalise and destabilise families and communities!
