On Friday 17th June 2016 Dawn Butler MP celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday with the residents and staff of the Victoria Care Centre in Brent Central.

The Care Centre, based on Acton Lane in Park Royal, opened its doors on Friday to the local community as part of the National Care Home Open Day.

The National Care Home Open Day is held every year with thousands of care homes taking part and arranging activities to create a lasting link between care home residents and their local communities.

Dawn Butler MP said:

“It was a real pleasure to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday today with the residents of the Victoria Care Centre. I enjoyed singing with them and had a fun time. I also liked the thought that went into the design of the centre, especially the bus stop which encourages people to sit and talk to each other. I would like to pay particular tribute to the fantastic carers here at the Victoria Care Centre who work so incredibly hard all year round to support all 115 residents who call this home.”
